TRAINING WORKSHOP description and Objectives

This training workshop will include: roundtable discussions with member agencies; updates from EPA Region III and OAQPS; and presentations from invited speakers. Participants will share their experience meeting challenges with new air quality monitoring technology, updated data analysis and quality assurance methods, and revised regulatory requirements.

NOTE TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS: There will also be a MARAMA Board Dinner Meeting on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM as well as a MARAMA Board Lunch Meeting on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (for Board Members or their designee only). There will be a separate registration process to confirm attendance at MARAMA’s Board of Directors Meeting, but you are welcome and encouraged to register for the Monitoring Committee Training Workshop via the link below.

 

MARAMASUPPORT AVAILABLE

MARAMA will offer support for up to 2 staff members per MARAMA member agency, scheduled state agency speakers, and state agency Air Directors to cover the cost of room and tax for up to 2 nights, if needed (December 4th and 5th). Supported attendees are responsible for all incidentals and travel. Any attendee who lives within 50 miles of the course location who believes overnight support is necessary must request specific approval and provide justification.

Alternative support requests: Please let us know if you will be requesting additional support (other than that being offered by MARAMA above), and we will email a Travel Support Request Form link to your state air director to complete and submit for approval consideration.

NOTE: Approximately two weeks PRIOR to the training workshop, we will email a lodging support form link to MARAMA Training Committee members so they may request/confirm lodging support for up to 2 agency staff members.

There is NO registration fee for this meeting for state and local employees and invited non-Federal speakers. There is a registration fee for Federal Employees (including Federal employee speakers); please see fees and payment instructions when you register. Attendance is limited to MARAMA members, EPA, and invited experts.
