MARAMA is pleased to announce the Train the Trainer Course for the Regional Air Quality in the Mid-Atlantic Course will be held on February 26-28, 2007 in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
MARAMA has been working with Kurt Paterson, Michigan Tech University in developing an eight module introductory course on air quality focusing on the Mid-Atlantic Region. The purpose of this project is to develop an introductory course on air quality that can be used by Mid-Atlantic air quality agencies. The course is intended to be presented by state and local staff for their employees or members of the public.
The course consists of individual modules that can be used together for a one-day course or as separate entities. The instructor is developing an Instructors Handbook as well as course materials. The course is intended to be used by state and local agencies within their agency as well presented to external audiences such as students at area universities, TV weather persons, media members, civic organizations, business groups and environmental groups.
The pilot of the course was held on July 20-21 and the based on comments from that course the modules have been updated.
