Brief Description of Duties:

This position is located in the Compliance and Enforcement Branch, Air Quality Division (AQD), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), District Department of the Environment (DDOE). The incumbent will serve as the Chief of the Compliance and Enforcement Branch and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the overall programmatic objectives of the District and Federal air quality compliance and enforcement compliance requirements. The objective of the position is to increase the effectiveness of compliance and enforcement operations and procedures through the review of program operations to develop or improve methods, procedures, and controls; to supervise environmental engineers, scientists, and administrative staff; and to manage schedules, budgets, and other grant commitments. The incumbent should possess professional knowledge of the principles, concepts, technologies, and practices applicable to air pollution issues and controls.
