Initial Organization Structure

The Collaborative is administered by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Air Management Association (MARAMA) which is a cooperative association made up of federal, state, and local government air pollution control agencies.

The Collaborative will also include vehicle and engine manufacturers and users, petroleum refiners, mitigation technology providers, and environmental and public interest groups.

The Collaborative is comprised of two types of groups.



Steering Committee

This group is composed of representatives of federal, state and local government, guiding the organization and administration of the Collaborative.

The Steering Committee is charged with:

Providing administrative support and guidance toward the vision and goals of the Collaborative

Supporting, leading, and promoting Collaborative projects;

Educating and marketing the Collaborative within agencies and with private/non-profit foundations for funding, and
Collab-Arrow-Green.gif (2605 bytes)
Developing a permanent structure for the Collaborative.
Forums

Initially the forum lead responsibilities will be shared by EPA and state representatives.  Later forum lead responsibilities may shared with other program participants.  This will help vest partners with the program's efforts.  Participants may identify the need for different or additional workgroups. 

These groups will identify and seek funding for potential diesel emission reduction projects and share information on emission reduction technologies and funding sources.
