Ozone Precusors Emisisons Inventory Project
General Information
PES prepared an improved emission inventory for 1997 to support regional ozone air quality modeling in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern states. It builds on EPA's 1996 National Emission Trends (NET) Version inventory. To better summarize and visualize the data, maps are generated from the MARAMA 1997 Ozone Precursors Emission Inventory. This inventory is in .dbf format. To generate maps with ArcGIS software, it was necessary to convert the raw data files into a compatible format using Microsoft Access. These converted files were then saved as .dbf files and then used to create the maps below. Feedback Requested: Please send an e-mail to MARAMA with your comments and requests concerning the emissions maps displayed below. Please state if you would like to see any other 4, 7, or 10 digit SCC source category maps, any other pollutants, if it would be helpful to see certain SCC maps in t/area or t/population basis. Please provide feedback on any unusal looking data. Access should enable you to open and view all of the files as well. However, if you are using Excell (which has a maximum worksheet size of 65,536 rows by 256 columns) you will NOT be able to view some of the files completely (loosing some data when loading). To view those larger files use FoxPro, Access or Word.
