William Shuart, MS, has taught this course many times.  He teaches Environmental Applications of Geographic Information Systems and other courses at Virginia Commonwealth University. EPA Region 3 staff will also present case studies and be available to interact with students to explain how and when EPA uses state/local air quality data.

COURSE SCHEDULE

The course will begin promptly at 1 pm on April 3, 2017 and continue through mid-afternoon on April 4.  Students must complete pre- and post-course examinations on the subject matter in order to receive certificates of completion.  Students are expected to bring lap top computers capable of connecting to the internet to the course (i.e., with a browser and the ability to connect to external web sites).

Staff from MARAMA state and local air monitoring programs and EPA Region 3 who are responsible for Quality Assurance of air quality data.
