MARAMA has conducted projects to assess the costs and benefits of various emission control measures:

• A project focused on emissions sources at refineries.

• An analysis of the following sources in the context of regional haze planning:

• Coal and oil-fired Electric Generating Units, (EGUs);

• Point and area source industrial, commercial and institutional boilers;

• Cement kilns;

• Lime kilns;

• The use of heating oil; and

• Residential wood combustion and open burning.
