Current ProjectsMARAMA is coordinating the development of regional emissions inventories for air quality modeling. The inventory includes emissions from Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia. Data and documentation related to the inventory are posted for stakeholder review as they become available. Previous ProjectsThe 2002 regional emissions inventory was developed for use in air quality modeling to develop state implementation plans (SIPs) for mitigating regional haze. The 2002 inventory was the basis for projecting emissions for the years 2009, 2012, and 2018. These emissions inventories were also used in conducting modeling for ozone and fine particle pollution. Version 3 of the MANE-VU 2002 Emissions Inventory was finalized in 2006 and the projection inventories were finalized in 2007.
Emission Inventory Improvement ProjectsMARAMA has sponsored numerous projects to improve estimates of emissions from various types of emissions sources. These websites contain links to reports, data, and other resources that are intended to help improve emissions estimates for these sources. Tools & Guidance
